VIII Eurasian Media Forum began its work in Almaty, the agency reports. The forum will last for two days: April 23-24, 2009. The central theme of VIII Eurasian Media Forum - the world financial crisis. During the forum its participants will discuss election of the new American President, the expectations connected with this event, problems of objectivity of modern journalism and peculiarities of development of blog sphere.

Almaty. April 23. Kazakhstan Today - VIII Eurasian Media Forum began its work in Almaty, the agency reports.

The forum will last for two days: April 23-24, 2009. The central theme of VIII Eurasian Media Forum - the world financial crisis.

During the forum its participants will discuss election of the new American President, the expectations connected with this event, problems of objectivity of modern journalism and peculiarities of development of blog sphere.

According to EAMF General Director, Ruslan Zhemkov, 420 - 430 delegates are expected to take part in the Eurasian Media Forum this year: the representatives of the top NATO echelon, OSCE, the United Nations and chairmen of world media community.

Among the key speakers, planning to make speech at the forum are Professor of Harvard University, Niall Ferguson, well-known Russian economist, Michael Hazin, ex-deputy assistant to the chairman of US Exchequer, David Merkel, Professor of Diplomatic Academy of Russia, Igor Panarin, and British MP George Galloway.
