Waste processing factories to be constructed in Almaty and Astana

Almaty. May 5. Kazakhstan Today - Two waste processing factories of the sixth generation will be constructed in Almaty and Astana. The Minister of Environmental Protection of Kazakhstan, Nurgali Ashimov, informed, the agency reports citing the site of the Ministry of Environmental Protection.

"Two waste processing factories of the sixth generation will be constructed in Almaty and Astana. They will utilize all waste. We are negotiating with the German company, which will work with us on franchising conditions. In the beginning, we will buy the license to construct in Astana the factory for manufacture of factories and will deliver such installations to the regions. The principle is as follows: when waste is processed, we receive electric power and a few quotas. According to the Kyoto protocol, there will be counters there and each ton of the processed waste will give us a quota, therefore, when household waste decays, it releases methane," N. Ashimov informed.
