Zenith-3SLB intended for launch of Malaysian satellite Measat-1R delivered to Baikonur

The rocket carrier Zenith-3SLB intended for launch of Malaysian satellite Measat-1R has been delivered to Baikonur, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Federal Space Center Baikonur reports.

Baikonur. July 29. Kazakhstan Today - The rocket carrier Zenith-3SLB intended for launch of Malaysian satellite Measat-1R has been delivered to Baikonur, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Federal Space Center Baikonur reports.

According to the press service, the train from Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine) arrived at Tyra Tum station on July 27, which delivered the rocket carrier Zenith-3SLB to the cosmodrome made by the Ukrainian production association Yuzhmash intended for launch of the Malaysian telecommunication satellite Measat-1R.

After carrying out of customs registration procedures, the train with the rocket has been transported to the cosmodrome branch line to platform №42 of the cosmodrome for preparation of the rocket carrier Zenith-3SLB for launch.

Within the next few days the experts of the cosmodrome will start installation of the rocket carrier Zenith-3SLB in the test bench and carrying out of tests and checks of the rocket carrier.

Preparation of the rocket carrier Zenith-3SLB at the cosmodrome starts the final stage of prestarting preparation.

The Russian and foreign experts are carrying out preparation for launch of the booster block DM-SLB and the space rocket Measat-1R in assembly testing complex of the cosmodrome.

Measat-1R was made on the base of the platform Star for small geostationary satellites by the American company Orbital Sciences Corporation (OSC) under the order of the Malaysian communication operator Measat Satellite Systems and is intended for granting services of communication and transfer of TV signal of high clearness for Malaysia, Indonesia and other countries of Southern Asia.

The rocket carrier Zenith-3SLB with the space rocket Measat-1R is planned to be launched from starting complex of platform №45 on August 21.
