Kazakhstan to render military and technical assistance to Kyrgyzstan

Kazakh Senate deputies adopted the Law On ratification of the Agreement between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan on gratuitous military and technical assistance.
Presenting the document at today's plenary session Deputy Defense Minister Ruslan Shpekbayev said that the aim of the Agreement is to render gratuitously military and technical assistance to Kyrgyzstan, to transfer it one-time-only sockets, ammunition, and special equipment, Kazinfoirm reports.
Ratification of the Agreement is purposed to strengthen security in Central Asia and cement current friendly relations and cooperation in the military sphere, the conclusion of the international affairs, defense and security committee reads.

Kuwait has Expressed Interest in Investing in Infrastructure Projects in Kazakhstan

Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Kuwait Yerzhan Yelekeyev held a meeting with Isam Al-Sager, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Group Chief Executive Officer of the National Bank of Kuwait, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of investment, trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Kuwait.
The Ambassador briefed the Kuwaiti side on Kazakhstan’s current economic performance, noting the country’s steady economic growth. It was emphasized that Kazakhstan demonstrates stable economic growth of around 5-6% annually, while the country’s gross domestic product exceeds USD 300 billion, reflecting its strengthening position among the largest economies in the region.
Particular attention was given to the Alatau City project, one of the largest urban development projects in Kazakhstan, being developed as a modern digital city of accelerated development - a next-generation city with advanced digital infrastructure. It was noted that the project has attracted significant interest from investors from Asia and USA. In this regard, the Kazakh side expressed its interest in attracting investors from the Gulf countries, including Kuwait, taking into account the strong interest of Kuwaiti businesses in projects related to real estate, construction and modern urban infrastructure.
In continuation of this topic, it was noted that a working visit of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev to the State of Kuwait is scheduled for this autumn. During the visit, investors will be provided with more detailed information on the Alatau City project and opportunities for participation in its implementation.
For their part, representatives of the NBK expressed interest in expanding cooperation with Kazakhstan and confirmed their readiness to support the development of investment cooperation. It was noted that the Bank will consider opportunities to participate in the implementation of investment projects in Kazakhstan.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Participated in Investors Annual Meeting 2026

Alibek Kuantyrov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took part at the Investors Annual Meeting 2026, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
The event brought together leading institutional investors, asset managers, and government officials to discuss the prospects for the investment climate in Central Asia.
Last year alone, gross FDI inflows reached $20.5 billion. By UNCTAD's count, Kazakhstan is the number one FDI destination in Central Asia.
Alibek Kuantyrov outlined the country's key advantages, including the location of 13 international transit corridors in Kazakhstan and the implementation of advanced digital logistics solutions. He also noted the country's extensive natural resource base, as well as its agriculture potential.
The Government provides comprehensive support for investment projects that includes financial and non-financial incentives. Additionally, a new state support tool - Investment agreement can be directly concluded with the Government," - the Deputy Minister emphasized.
As part of the forum, Alibek Kuantyrov held a number of bilateral meetings with representatives of leading international investment institutions.
BlackRock representatives discussed prospects for expanding the company's presence in Kazakhstan's digital and traditional asset markets.
During a meeting with Timur Akazhanov, General Partner at B Capital, the development of venture and private capital in the region was discussed.
Emanuela Cisini, Partner and Head of Middle East and Asia of Investindustrial, discussed opportunities for creating export-oriented manufacturing and integrating Kazakhstan into global value chains.
The holding of the Investors Annual Meeting 2026 underscores Kazakhstan's consistent policy of integrating into global capital markets and strengthening the country's investment image.

The Manisa Region of Türkiye Shows Interest in Expanding Trade and Investment Cooperation with Kazakhstan

As part of the working visit of the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Istanbul, Nuriddin Amankul, to the province of Manisa, a series of substantive meetings were held with company leaders of the region’s leading industrial enterprises, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
During the meetings, presentations were delivered on the activities of companies operating in sectors such as composite materials production, construction industry, plastic products manufacturing, machinery, metal processing, agro-industrial complex, and industrial technologies. In particular, special attention was given to the production capacity and export potential of companies including Fiber Kompozit, Logo Beton, Nat Plastik, Asr Makina, Namtek Makina, Sistem Oluklu Mukavva, Efestar, SKP, Osso, Agrotek, Hat İndüksiyon, Zenit, Miksan, and Onuras.
The parties discussed prospects for further expanding trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Türkiye, and exchanged views on Kazakhstan’s favorable investment climate, industrial zones, and government support mechanisms.
Following the meetings, a number of companies from the Manisa region highly appreciated Kazakhstan’s investment potential and expressed interest in implementing production projects in the Kyzylorda, Zhambyl, and Turkistan regions, as well as in the city of Shymkent.
In this regard, a visit of a business delegation from the Manisa region to Kazakhstan is scheduled for May 2026. It is expected that this visit will provide additional momentum for the development of concrete investment projects and the strengthening of bilateral industrial cooperation.

In Montreal, a Screening of a Kazakh Film was Held for the ICAO Leadership for the First Time

With the assistance of the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the ICAO Cinema Club, a screening of the Kazakh musical film "Bakyt Qushagynda" in the Kazakh language with English subtitles was organized for the first time, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
The event was attended by the President of the ICAO Council, Toshiyuki Onuma, the Secretary General, Juan Carlos Salazar, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Canada, Dauletbek Kusainov, as well as Permanent Representatives of Member States to ICAO, heads of structural units of the Organization, staff of the ICAO Secretariat, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Canada, and representatives of the Kazakh diaspora in Montreal.
In his speech, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to ICAO, Timur Tlegenov, noted that this event is of a historic nature, since for the first time a screening of a Kazakh film has been organized within the premises of ICAO Headquarters. He expressed confidence that such cultural initiatives would contribute to strengthening mutual understanding and the development of cultural exchange. Particular attention was paid to the significance of the presented film, based on the works of the outstanding Kazakh composer Shamshi Kaldayakov, whose work occupies an important place in the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan.
In his speech, the President of the ICAO Council, Toshiyuki Onuma, thanked the Kazakh delegation for the excellent organization of the evening.
He also noted that during his tenure as Permanent Representative of Japan to ICAO, one of his first initiatives was the organization of a screening of a Japanese film, emphasizing the importance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening international cooperation.
In addition, T.Onuma emphasized the significant role of civil aviation as an instrument that unites states and contributes to the development of global interaction.
Prior to the screening, a reception with traditional Kazakh refreshments was organized for the guests, as well as a musical programme on the national instrument - the dombyra. Performed by a citizen of France, Alexander Audi, well-known Kazakh works were presented, including "Saryarka," "Kara Zhorga," "Karatorgai," "Alatau," and others.
Following the event, the guests noted the high level of organization of the reception, the warm atmosphere of the evening and received the Kazakh film with great interest, which obtained positive feedback from the audience.
