Kazakhstan - Canadian joint venture Inkay fined for environmental pollution
Shymkent. August 5. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan-Canadian joint venture Inkay has been fined for infringements of waste disposal regulations. The chairman of the branch of Shu-Talass Ecological Department of South Kazakhstan oblast, Abdugani Atyntayev, informed on Monday, the agency reports.
The chairman of Ecological Department informed that economic court has supported their decision. "9 million 118 thousand KZT of penalty has been imposed on joint venture Inkay," A. Atyntaev said.
The ecologists make claims on other uranium extracting enterprises in the South Kazakhstan oblast. Economic court has received materials on infringement of the ecological legislation of Kazakhstan by French joint venture Katko. This enterprise has been fined for 40 million KZT.
