Kazakhstan citizen admits for complicity with Islamic State

The US Ministry of Justice informed that Kazakhstan citizen Ahror Saidakhmetov admitted his guilt in collusion to support the terrorist organization of the Islamic State (it is forbidden in the USA, Kazakhstan and other countries), RIA Novosti reports.

Astana. 20 January. Kazakhstan Today - The US Ministry of Justice informed that Kazakhstan citizen Ahror Saidakhmetov admitted his guilt in collusion to support the terrorist organization of the Islamic State (it is forbidden in the USA, Kazakhstan and other countries), RIA Novosti reports.

21 years old Saidakhmetov has lived in New York. He faces imprisonment for up to 15 years, even despite the agreement with justice.

The prosecutor of the USA Robert Kuypers declared that the defendant intended to go to Syria and to be at war on IS side or to conduct the act of terrorism in the territory of the USA.

According to the indictment, in 2014-2015 Saidakhmetov and his accomplice, Uzbekistan citizen Abdurasul Zhuraboyev jointly planned a trip to Syria and in case if it fails to buy the gun and to shoot police officers. In 2015 Saidakhmetov was arrested at the airport of Kennedy in New York where he tried to fly to Turkey. Zhuraboyev was arrested with the ticket to Turkey at the same day too. One more Uzbekistan citizen Abror Habibov is also accused of this attempt to raise money for the help to terrorists.
