The C5+1 Critical Minerals Dialogue is a meeting held within the framework of the C5+1 cooperation format, which brings together the five Central Asian countries and the United States. The discussions focus on the extraction, processing, and sustainable supply of strategically important mineral resources.

Earlier, Kazakhstan's Foreign Minister, Ermek Kosherbayev, highlighted the importance of expanding international cooperation in the field of critical minerals during a meeting with the U.S. President’s Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, Sergio Gor. He expressed gratitude to the American side for its participation in the C5+1 Critical Minerals Dialogue.

The two sides also underscored the significance of a planned roundtable involving business delegations from the United States and Central Asian countries. The event is aimed at strengthening trade and economic cooperation and expanding partnerships in strategic sectors.

On June 11-12, 2026, Astana will host the Astana Mining and Metallurgy 2026 International Congress and Exhibition. Participants will discuss current issues related to subsoil use and legislative initiatives in the mining and metallurgical sector. Particular attention will be given to strengthening investment ties and attracting leading global technology companies to Kazakhstan’s industrial sector.
