Kazakh team among top-3 following World Judo Championships

Kazakhstan's judo team won over the teams from Germany and France but were defeated by Brazil.
Kazakh judo athletes won bronze medals at the World Judo Championships among youth in competitions including mixed teams, Kazakhstan Judo Federation reports.

The Kazakh youth national team in judo outscored the team from Germany 5:1 in the quarterfinals of the mixed team competitions, that enabled the team to enter the semi-final.

In repechage Kazakh judo athletes beat the team from France - 5:3. The Kazakh judo team met with the team from Brazil to enter the final but were defeated with the score of 1:5.

The Kazakh youth judo team included Arslan Yesengel, Narbayev Baurzhan, Ansarbek Gainullin, Zhanbolat Bagtbergenov, Yerasyl Bolat, Dinakhmet Ryssymbek, Sanzhar Zhabbarov, Galiya Tynbayeva, Akmaral Nauatbek, Aida Karchayeva, Moldir Narynova and Kamila Berlikash.

The country gained two bronze medals, including Zhanbolat Bagtbergenov who won a bronze medal up to 73 kg.

The World Judo Championships among youth were held in the period from October 17 to 21 in Nassau, including 500 judo athletes from 67 states.
