Gazprom and Turkmenistan signed agreement on principles of Turkmen gas pricing

The agreement on principles of Turkmen gas pricing was signed on July 25 during the visit of Gazprom delegation to Turkmenistan, the agency reports referring to Gazprom press service.

Almaty. July 28. Kazakhstan Today - The agreement on principles of Turkmen gas pricing was signed on July 25 during the visit of Gazprom delegation to Turkmenistan, the agency reports referring to Gazprom press service.

"The arrangements reached in the agreement on market principles of pricing within the long-term contract on gas purchase in Turkmenistan became one more significant step of development of our cooperation," the chairman of Gas Concern Alexey Miller said.

The agreement on participation of Gazprom in investment projects in gas sphere on the territory of Turkmenistan has been signed. "Arrangements on financing and construction by Gazprom of the new main gas pipelines from the east of the country, on arrangement of deposits and increase of capacity of Turkmen site of the Near-Caspian gas main up to 30 billion cubic meters have been reached." "Gazprom will take part in this construction," A. Miller noted.

During the visit the parties agreed on construction of the office building for Gazprom representation and the building for branch of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas in Ashkhabad.

Deliveries of Turkmen gas are carried out through the system of transit gas pipelines Central Asia - Center, passing through the territories of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Russia. According to the intergovernmental agreements Gazprom provides transit of Turkmen gas on the territory of Russia to Ukraine. Within the intermediate term contracts Gazprom carries out functions of the operator of transit of Turkmen gas on the territory of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
