Kazakhstan reduces export duty for oil from $203.8 up to $139.79 for ton

Kazakhstan decreases customs duties for oil export from $203.8 up to $139.79 for a ton, the agency reports with reference to the governmental decree of Kazakhstan of December, 5th, 2008 №1162 on introduction of amendments to the governmental order of the Republic of Kazakhstan of October, 15th, 2005 №1036, published in the official mass media on December, 20th, 2008.

Almaty. December 22. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan decreases customs duties for oil export from $203.8 up to $139.79 for a ton, the agency reports with reference to the governmental decree of Kazakhstan of December, 5th, 2008 №1162 on introduction of amendments to the governmental order of the Republic of Kazakhstan of October, 15th, 2005 №1036, published in the official mass media on December, 20th, 2008.

According to the governmental decree, the rate of customs duties for payers of the rent tax for exported crude oil and gas condensate has decreased from $121.32 up to $57.31 for a ton.

The rate of customs duties for export of heavy distillates, oil coke, and bitumen has been established at the rate of $95.49 for a ton (earlier $112.5), light and average distillates - $143.24 for a ton.

According to the decree, the duty now will be monthly reconsidered, instead of once quarterly as it was earlier.

The decree will come into force after 30 calendar days from the date of the first official publication.

As informed earlier, in Kazakhstan since October, 11th the export customs duties for oil totaled $203.8 for a ton.
