Kazakhstan, World Bank signed mutual understanding and transparency agreements

Astana. December 4. Kazakhstan Today - Two memorandums - on mutual understanding and the transparency of extracting branches were signed between Kazakhstan and the World Bank during Kazakhstan Vice Prime Minister Karim Masimov two-day visit to the USA, Washington D.C., Kazakh PM press service informed the agency.

According to the press service, the measures stipulated in the documents are directed at increase of competitiveness of Kazakhstan economy, development of management efficiency of public finances and improvement of transparency of payments and incomes of extracting branches by more active realization of the Initiative of Transparency.

According to the documents, the government of Kazakhstan in cooperation with WB intends to carry out annual reviews of management of public finances within five years with the purpose of granting diagnostics of efficiency, effectiveness and transparency of state expenditures. First of all, the analysis of management of the state budget in public health services and education is planned to be conducted.

Kazakhstan joined the group of the countries participating in the Initiative of Transparency in October, 2005. The participants of the Initiative include 46 companies working in Kazakhstan and 166 enterprises the government has been suggested to take part.
