Kazakhstan's share of total amount of Customs Union duties increased up to 7.69 %

Kazakhstan's share of total amount of Customs Union duties has increased. First Vice Premier of Kazakhstan, Umirzak Shukeev, informed at a briefing, following the results of the session of the Customs Union supreme body at the prime ministers' level, the agency reports citing official mass media.

Almaty. May 31. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan's share of total amount of Customs Union duties has increased. First Vice Premier of Kazakhstan, Umirzak Shukeev, informed at a briefing, following the results of the session of the Customs Union supreme body at the prime ministers' level, the agency reports citing official mass media.

U. Shukeev reminded that earlier Kazakhstan was supposed to receive 7.33 % of total amount of the Customs Union duties.

According to RIA RosBusinessConsulting, according to First Vice Premier of the Russian Federation, Igor Shuvalov, Russia will receive 92.31 % of the customs duties of the Customs Union

According to Vesti.Ru, in March, the members of the Customs Union Committee made the decision on the mechanism of transfer and distribution of import customs duties. According to the accepted decision, the sum of import customs duties for each party will be distributed as follows: Belarus - 4.7 %, Kazakhstan - 7.33 %, and Russia - 87.97 %.

The Customs Union includes three states: Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia. The decision on creation of the Customs Union was made in August, 2006 at the EurAsEC Interstate Council session. The main agreements on various aspects of functioning of the Customs Union came into force since January 1, 2010.
