Life expectancy in Kazakhstan increased to 69.1 years

The birth rate and the natural population growth increased by 2% and 6.3% respectively over 5 months of the year. The mortality rate reduced by 4.3%.

Almaty. August 27. Kazakhstan Today - The life expectancy has increased in Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Today reports.

The life expectancy made 69.1 years in 2011 while in 2010 it was 68.4 years, the Prime Minister's official website informs with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Healthcare.

Thereat, the birth rate and the natural population growth increased by 2% and 6.3% respectively over 5 months of the year. The mortality rate reduced by 4.3%.

Besides, the maternal mortality reduced by 13% and child mortality - by 5% over the first half of 2012.

These indicators are achieved due to implementation of "Salamatty Kazakhstan" Healthcare Development Program aimed at improvement of health of Kazakhstan people, ensuring sustainable demographic and social development of Kazakhstan, increase of the quality of medical services and treatment of the basic socially significant diseases.
