Monetary base grew by 7.6 % in June, 2006

Almaty. August 16. Kazakhstan Today - Monetary base in Kazakhstan increased by 7.6 % - up to 2704.1 billion KZT within June, 2006. The Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Anvar Saydenov stated today at the press conference on the situation in financial market, the agency reports.

A. Saydenov noted that growth of monetary base in June was promoted due to increase by 15.7 % of pure internal actives of the bank system, whereas pure external actives were reduced by 30.4 %. For accounting month, cash volume in circulation increased by 9.3 % - up to 550 billion KZT and deposits in bank system - by 7.1 % - up to 2154 billion KZT.
