Regional conference on problems of micro financing in Central Asia started in Astana

A two-day regional conference - Micro Financing in Central Asia: Today and Tomorrow started its work in Astana on Thursday, the agency reports.

Astana. September 19. Kazakhstan Today - A two-day regional conference - Micro Financing in Central Asia: Today and Tomorrow started its work in Astana on Thursday, the agency reports.

The conference is held under the aegis of Fund of Development of Entrepreneurship Damu, Association of Micro Finance Organizations of Kazakhstan and the project of the USA Agency for International Development (USAID) Central Asia Micro Finance Alliance.

According to Vice Minister of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan, Edil Mamytbekov, it is very important to develop micro finance in Kazakhstan for further economic growth and increase of competitiveness of the country.

During two days the participants of the conference will discuss the problems of micro finance in the Central Asia countries and the ways of their solution, define prospects of further development, get acquainted with new technologies, receive answers to their questions, and exchange their experience.

The participants are expected to accept resolution that will suggest studying the question of creation of the organizational-legal form new to Kazakhstan in the form of credit and saving cooperative societies. The resolution, according to the chairman of the board of the fund Damu, Gosman Amrin, will be directed to the government of Kazakhstan as well as state bodies of other countries of the region.
