Strategic level of Belarus-Kazakhstan cooperation praised

Ashgabad. December 5. Kazakhstan Today - Foreign Minister of Belarus Mr Vladimir Makei and Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Mr Yerlan Idrisov confirmed the strategic nature of the development of the bilateral relations at the meeting in Ashgabad on 4 December.

According to Vladimir Makei, Belarus-Kazakhstan relations evolve the way relations between friends and strategic partners do. "We have excellent relations at all levels starting with the heads of state and ending with divisions of ministries and government agencies," he remarked, BelTA reports.

In particular, the Belarusian Foreign Minister mentioned the latest visit of Prime Minister of Belarus Mr Mikhail Myasnikovich to Kazakhstan. Vladimir Makei said the visit had been very productive and filled with concrete agreements and results. "We intend to continue advancing this cooperation on the bilateral basis and within the framework of the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space," stressed Vladimir Makei. In turn, Yerlan Idrisov said he was satisfied with the way Belarus-Kazakhstan cooperation was advancing at various levels. "We have a powerful agenda of economic cooperation. There is a mutual interest. Trade is on the rise," he remarked.
