World market prices for copper gone up

World market prices for copper have increased, the experts state.

Almaty. January 14. Kazakhstan Today - World market prices for copper have increased, the experts state.

The rise in prices for copper has been caused by dynamics of commodity indexes and growth of demand in China after rapid increase of prices at the Shanghai futures stock exchange.

Analytical group World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS) has published estimated data on the situation at the world market of copper for January - October 2007, according to which deficit of this metal in the market of copper at the end of the specified period made 207 thousand tons. The declared market stocks of copper for 10 months reduced by 11 thousand tons. Manufacture of the refined copper for the specified period in the world has grown by 2.5 %, or up to 14.73 million tons.
