World prices for oil changed differently on September 7

The world prices for oil, following the results of the tenders on Tuesday, September 7, changed differently. The exchange quotations of oil have been affected by different factors: explosion at Pemex oil refinery in Mexico, strengthening of the US dollar and Tropical Storm Hermine bypassing offshore operations in the Gulf of Mexico.

Almaty. September 8. Kazakhstan Today - The world prices for oil, following the results of the tenders on Tuesday, September 7, changed differently. The exchange quotations of oil have been affected by different factors: explosion at Pemex oil refinery in Mexico, strengthening of the US dollar and Tropical Storm Hermine bypassing offshore operations in the Gulf of Mexico.

The official price of the October futures contract (settlement) of the North Sea oil of Brent Crude Oil at the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) during the trading day went up from $76.87 to $77.74 per barrel.

The official cost of the October oil futures contract (settlement) of Light Sweet Crude Oil (WTI) at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) during the last trading day decreased from $74.60 to $74.09 per barrel.

The price for the OPEC oil basket (OPEC Reference Basket of crudes) went up on September 6 from $73.05 to $73.43 per barrel. As of August, 2010, the average price for OPEC oil amounted to $74.15 per barrel.
