UN allocated $7 million to render assistance to China residents injured in earthquake

The United Nations have allocated $7 million to render assistance to the residents of China injured in the recent earthquake, the agency reports referring to the UN news center.

Almaty. May 19. Kazakhstan Today - The United Nations have allocated $7 million to render assistance to the residents of China injured in the recent earthquake, the agency reports referring to the UN news center.

The allocated funds will be used for financing of the projects of establishments and funds of the UN system involved in rendering humanitarian help to the population of the Peoples Republic of China. UNICEF has directed tents, blankets and school sets. UNICEF also prepares to send in the near future clean drinking water, sanitary stuff and medicines. World Food Program (WFP) sends to China cargos with pasta suffice to feed 120 thousand people within a week.
