Woman, 92, shoots at neighbour who refused to kiss her
Almaty. March 25. Kazakhstan Today - A 92-year-old Florida woman shot up her neighbor's house after he refused to kiss her, Kazakhstan Today reports.
A 92-year-old Florida woman has been jailed after US police say she fired shots at a neighbour who refused to kiss her, The Associated Press reported.
Helen Staudinger went to visit her next-door neighbour, Dwight Bettner, 53, on Monday, but grew angry when he wouldn't give her a kiss, police said.
She then allegedly fired four rounds into Mr Bettner's house from a semi-automatic pistol, shattering a window. No one was hurt.
Mr Bettner told police he had ongoing issues with his neighbour, who he said had grown enamoured with him and threatened to shoot him when he told her he had a girlfriend.
Ms Staudinger is in the Marion County Jail, charged with aggravated assault and shooting into a dwelling.
