Central Asian branch of Carnegie Fund is expected to be opened in Kazakhstan. Almaty. October 3. Kazakhstan Today - Central Asian branch of Carnegie Fund is expected to be opened in Kazakhstan. The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Marat Tazhin, proposed in Washington's Carnegie Endowment for International Peace making the report - Kazakhstan in the Global World, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

M. Tazhin noted fruitful cooperation between the fund and its partners in Kazakhstan. "Frequent contacts of experts and mutual interest suggest an idea of opening in Kazakhstan of Central Asian branch of Carnegie Fund. Today's public diplomacy has become a special priority for our countries," Foreign Minister said.

He expressed gratitude to the management of the fund for an opportunity to speak within the precincts of such an authoritative international center and to share the vision of the key international problems and the place of my country in the world community."

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Carnegie's Moscow Center has been working since 1993 and other branches of the fund - in Beijing, Beirut, and Brussels - were opened within the last three years.
