Central Asian parliaments and governments to unite efforts in solution of labor migration issues

The parliaments and the governments of the Central Asian republics will unite efforts in solution of problems of labor migration.

Bishkek. March 12. Kazakhstan Today - The parliaments and the governments of the Central Asian republics will unite efforts in solution of problems of labor migration. The participants of the regional inter-parliamentary and intergovernmental meeting opened on Tuesday in Bishkek - Consolidation of Efforts of the Central Asian Countries towards Creation of the Unified Legislation in the Labor Migration," the agency reports.

The meeting, according to the State Committee of Kyrgyzstan on migration and employment, is taking place within the limits of the Project on Labor Migration in Central Asia, financed by the European Union. The participants of this international meeting became the chairmen of migration services, legislators of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, and the representatives of Inter-parliamentary Assembly of CIS and EurAsEC.

"All the interested parties realize importance of cooperation in the field of migration, which is inherently recognized as a multipurpose, transnational and intergovernmental phenomenon. The Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan during the last EurAsEC session in Moscow emphasized importance of all-round consolidation in this issue," the chairman of the State Migration Commission of Kyrgyzstan Aygul Ryskulova.

The main focus of the meeting taking place on March 11-12 - the problems of legalization of labor migrants, protection of their rights, providing access to medical and social services, creating of tools for the organized exchange of manpower and others.
