Course of preparation of CICA third summit to be discussed during visit of Foreign Minister of Turkey

During the visit of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Ahmet Davutoglu, to Kazakhstan, the officials plan to discuss the course of preparation of the third summit of the heads of states of the member countries of Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA). The official representative of the department, Askar Abdrahmanov, informed during a weekly briefing in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - During the visit of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Ahmet Davutoglu, to Kazakhstan, the officials plan to discuss the course of preparation of the third summit of the heads of states of the member countries of Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA). The official representative of the department, Askar Abdrahmanov, informed during a weekly briefing in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

"The Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic, Ahmet Davutoglu, will pay an official visit to Kazakhstan on February 10 - 12 by the invitation of the Secretary of State - the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kanat Saudabaev," A. Abdrahmanov informed.

"During the visit, the officials will discuss the course of preparation of the third summit of the heads of the member states and the governments of the CICA member countries, which will take place on June 7-9, 2010 in Istanbul. The presidency in CICA passed to Turkey from Kazakhstan in the beginning of this year.

"The visit of the head of the Turkish diplomacy is aimed at realization of the positions defined in the contract on strategic partnership between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Turkish Republic signed on October 22, 2009 during an official visit to Ankara of the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev," A. Abdrahmanov informed.
