CSTO countries to develop uniform position on new European Security Contract

The CSTO Secretary General, Nikolay Bordyuzha, informed that the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will develop a uniform position on the new European Security Contract, the agency reports citing the press service of the Secretariat of the organization.

Moscow. December 4. Kazakhstan Today - The CSTO Secretary General, Nikolay Bordyuzha, informed that the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will develop a uniform position on the new European Security Contract, the agency reports citing the press service of the Secretariat of the organization.

According to the press service, the informal meeting of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the CSTO member states will take place in Helsinki.

"Before the beginning of the OSCE ministerial meeting in Helsinki on December, 4th, there will be an informal meeting of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the CSTO member states to coordinate the position on the new European Security Contract," CSTO Secretary General informed.

"The leaders of the CSTO member states at Moscow summit in September of 2008 already supported the initiative of the Russian Federation on development of the European Security Contract that was registered in the Declaration of the session of the CSTO Council of Collective Security.

According to the press service, CSTO Secretary General will take part in both the session of Foreign Ministers of OSCE member countries and in the informal meeting of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the organization.
