Astana. March 27. Kazakhstan Today - The CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha during today's session of the Coordination Council of the chairmen of the competent bodies on counteraction to illegal circulation of drugs called its participants to continue attracting non CSTO member countries to CSTO work, the agency reports.

"The activity of the Council on a number of directions within the operation Channel "unites the efforts of some non CSTO member countries. This work should be continued by developing coordination of inter-regional antinarcotics cooperation, including with the international organizations aimed at strengthening regional safety," N. Bordyuzha said.

An outstanding example of successful interstate cooperation is the operative-preventive operation Channel carried out by the initiative of CSTO participants. "The international antinarcotics community on behalf of the United Nations and other authoritative international structures recognize steady progress of this project, noting its scale and efficiency," N. Bordyuzha underlined.
