Delegation of Kazakhstan Temir zholy took part in International Union of Railways session in Seoul

"The project of development of Northern transport corridor East-West, or the New transport corridor is being developed within International Union of Railways, which is international transcontinental intermodal transport corridor originating in the Northeast part of the USA (port Boston), along the sea way up to the Norwegian port Narvik, further along the railway route of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Kazakhstan and up to the east ports of continental China. On the territory of Kazakhstan the corridor will pass along the site of station Petropavlovsk - station Dostyk," the press service informs.

"Today one of the main directions of the work of railway transportation on global scale is organization of transportation of cargoes Europe - Asia," he noted at the second session of organizing committee of Asian Regional Assembly of International Union of Railways, the chairman of Kazakhstan Temir zholy A. Mamin, vice-chairman of Asian Regional Assembly of International Union of Railways informed.

According to the press service, Askar Mamin met the Minister of Agriculture, Transport and Marine Affairs of South Korea on May 19 to discuss mutual cooperation and prospect of development.

"The Korean party presented the project of high-speed railway between Seoul and Pusan. High-speed trains can reach speed of 300 kilometers an hour," the message informs
