Environment Protection Minister met Ambassador of Korea

The Environment Protection Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Iskakov met the Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Kazakhstan Kim Il-Su on Thursday, the agency reports referring to Environment Protection Ministry press service.

Astana. January 25. Kazakhstan Today - The Environment Protection Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Iskakov met the Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Kazakhstan Kim Il-Su on Thursday, the agency reports referring to Environment Protection Ministry press service.

According to the ministry's press service, during the meeting the parties noted the necessity of further strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation. N. Iskakov and Kim Il-Su agreed on development of the agreement in the field of environment protection between nature protection departments of two countries.

The minister expressed interest in adopting the experience of Korea in carrying out international conferences.

As it was informed earlier, Kazakhstan plans to hold the Sixth conference of the ministers of environment and steady development of the Asian-Pacific region in 2010.

In his turn, Kim Il-Su called the Environment Protection Ministry of Kazakhstan to unite efforts in use of alternative energy sources.
