Kazakhstan, India discussed expansion of cooperation with CICA

Political consultations between foreign policy departments of Kazakhstan and India took place on September 22 in Astana, the agency reports citing the press service of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

Astana. September 23. Kazakhstan Today - Political consultations between foreign policy departments of Kazakhstan and India took place on September 22 in Astana, the agency reports citing the press service of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

"The agenda of the consultations of two states included the questions of expansion of contract-legal base between two countries and cooperation within CICA (Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia), " the press service informed.

During the session, its participants discussed the questions of strengthening of political dialogue, development of economic cooperation, interaction on the international scene, and realization of the arrangements reached during the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, to India on January 23-26 and at the session of the intergovernmental Kazakhstan-Indian Joint Commission for Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technical, Industrial and Cultural Cooperation taken place in Astana on March 12-13.

"Kazakhstan and India agreed to carry out the next Kazakhstan-Indian political consultations in Delhi."
