Kazakhstan to take part in XIV conference of Climate Change UN Convention

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, informed during the briefing on Monday that Kazakhstan will take part in XIV conference of the Climate Change UN Convention, the agency reports.

Astana. December 2. Kazakhstan Today - The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, informed during the briefing on Monday that Kazakhstan will take part in XIV conference of Climate Change UN Convention, the agency reports.

"XIV conference of Climate Change UN Convention and the 4th meeting of the participants of the Kyoto Protocol will take place on December 1-12 in Poland in the city of Poznan," Y. Ashikbayev said.

The delegation of Kazakhstan headed by Vice Minister of Environmental Protection, Alzhan Braliev, will take part in the event. Mr. Braliev will make a report on voluntary quantitative obligations of our country for 2008 - 2012.

According to Y. Ashikbayev, Kazakhstan will take part in the international forum of Peace and Sports - 2008 in Monaco.

"The international forum Peace and Sports 2008 will take place on December 3-5 in the Princedom of Monaco," Y. Ashikbayev said.

"The working meeting on Priorities of the Working Program for the European Region for the period of 2010 - 2011 will be held on December 1st-2nd in Madrid."
