Kazakhstan to use ACD platform for development of transit and commodity turnover in Asia - Tazhin

Kazakhstan plans to use the platform of Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) for development of transit and commodity turnover in Asia. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Marat Tazhin, stated today at the briefing during the break of VII meeting of Ministers for Foreign Affairs ACD, the agency reports.

Astana. October 16. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan plans to use the platform of Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) for development of transit and commodity turnover in Asia. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Marat Tazhin, stated today at the briefing during the break of VII meeting of Ministers for Foreign Affairs ACD, the agency reports.

Tazhin noted that Kazakhstan "plans to use ACD platform for development of transit and, accordingly, commodity turnover in Asia according to the Almaty Program of Actions on the least developed and developing landlocked countries accepted in August, 2003."

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan said that Kazakhstan adheres to multi vector principle and economic feasibility in questions of export of Kazakhstan energy carriers and transport policy." "Therefore, cooperation with other states of Asia, including within the limits of multilateral forums is important, providing political support to access of the Kazakhstan goods to the Asian markets and use of the Kazakhstan infrastructure," M. Tazhin noted.

He also stated that as ACD chairman in 2008 - 2009 Kazakhstan plans to actively cooperate within the limits of the forum."

Kazakhstan is a coordinator in transport, power and agricultural spheres.
