Kazakhstan and the U.S. discussed bilateral military cooperation prospects, Kazakhstan Today reports.

Astana. February 8. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan and the U.S. discussed bilateral military cooperation prospects, Kazakhstan Today reports.

The Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan, Adilbek Dzhaksybekov, met with Charge d'Affaires of the United States Embassy in Astana John Ordway on Tuesday, the press service of the Defence Ministry informed.

A. Dzhaksybekov and J.Ordway discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation in the personnel training, military education system development, and other spheres within the five-year cooperation plan signed by the defense ministries of two states.

"Special emphasis should be laid on the recent increase of the number of bilateral events held within the military contacts plan and aimed at studying the experience of the United States Army in different fields.

Over 110 bilateral events have been scheduled for this year.

The United States of America and Kazakhstan strive to strengthen interaction between our states through maintaining dialogue and extending military cooperation," A.Dzhaksybekov said.
