Kazakhstan, USA share opinion on nuclear disarmament

Kazakhstan and the USA share opinion on the issue of nuclear disarmament. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, stated today at the meeting in Akorda with the chairman of Subcommittee of Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives of the American Congress, Eni Faleomavaega, the agency reports.

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, stated today at the meeting in Akorda with the chairman of Subcommittee of Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives of the American Congress, Eni Faleomavaega, the agency reports.

"We share common opinion on the issue of nuclear disarmament," N. Nazarbayev stated.

"Kazakhstan is grateful to you for the support to our country and our policy. You have done much for strengthening of the Kazakhstan-American relations. Your initiatives are directed at strengthening of this friendship and trust," E. Faleomavaega said.

The American congressman expressed support to the Kazakhstan initiatives in the issue of nuclear disarmament. "We continue to give you due for the work done by you to make the leaders of the states understand how important it is to continue the work on nuclear disarmament," he said, addressing N. Nazarbayev.

After the meeting with the President of Kazakhstan, E. Faleomavaega at the briefing for journalists said that during the meeting they discussed the forthcoming visit of the American President, Barack Obama, to Russia, and other questions of improvement of the geopolitical situation influencing situation in the world.
