Prime Minister met chairman of National Council of Swiss Confederation

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, held the meeting with the chairman of the National Council (the Lower Chamber of Parliament) of the Swiss Confederation, Andre Bugnon on Thursday, the agency reports referring to prime minister's press service.

Astana. September 5. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, held the meeting with the chairman of the National Council (Lower Chamber of Parliament) of the Swiss Confederation, Andre Bugnon on Thursday, the agency reports referring to prime minister's press service.

According to the press service, the interlocutors discussed questions of mutual relations between Kazakhstan and Switzerland and ascertained high level of mutual understanding between two states. Discussing prospects of development of bilateral economic cooperation, A. Bugnon paid special attention to high level of economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"We have been impressed with the economic reforms carried out in your country," A. Bugnon noted.

"Political stability and positive social and economic development of the country has played the main role in the choice of Kazakhstan for the post of chairman of OSCE in 2010."

According to A. Bugnon, considering positive dynamics of growth of bilateral cooperation in political, economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, Switzerland has made a decision on opening its embassy in Astana.
