Prime Minister of Turkey to pay one day visit to Azerbaijan on August 20
Baku. August 20. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will pay official visit to Azerbaijan on August 20, the press service of Turkish Embassy informed the agency.
"It will be a short-term visit and will last for one day. During the visit R. Erdogan will hold the meeting with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, during which the parties will discuss the situation developed in Southern Caucasus, the questions of maintenance of regional safety, including safety of the pipelines connecting Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, in the view of the last events in Georgia," the Embassy informs.
The Prime Minister of Turkey during his visit to Georgia last week expressed concern regarding the events in South Ossetia and noted the necessity of creation of the platform for Peace Pact to guarantee peace and stability in Caucasus.
"I shared my opinion with Russian and Georgian colleagues and received from them positive response regarding this issue. Without creation of common stability and well-being the region cannot restore calmness," R. Erdogan said on August 14 in Tbilisi at the press conference held together with the President of Georgia, Michael Saakashvili.
