Session of Cooperation Council - Republic Kazakhstan - European Union to be held in Brussels

The next 10 session of Cooperation Council - Republic of Kazakhstan - European Union will take place on September 16 in Brussels. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, informed today during weekly briefing.

Astana. September 15. Kazakhstan Today - The next 10 session of Cooperation Council - Republic of Kazakhstan - European Union will take place on September 16 in Brussels. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, informed today during weekly briefing.

The session will be held to discuss the questions of further development of the Kazakhstan-European cooperation in various spheres.

"The Kazakhstan delegation will be headed by co-chairman of the Council - Minister of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan, Vladimir Shkolnik. The European delegation will be headed by co-chairman of the Council - EC's Commissioner for External Affairs and European Policy of Good Neighborhood, Benito Ferrero-Waldner," Y. Ashikbayev noted.

During the forum the participants will discuss the questions of further realization of Strategy of new partnership between the European Union and Central Asia in 2007 - 2013, expansion of multilateral political dialogue in the context of the forthcoming presidency of Kazakhstan in OSCE, including the questions of democratic reforms, leaderships of law and human rights and strengthening of trade and economic and investment cooperation.
