Astana. January 11. Kazakhstan Today - New government has been formed in Kazakhstan. The majority of the ministers of Akhmetov's government remained in their posts, the agency reports.

Karim Masimov has been appointed the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, who earlier held the post of the Deputy Prime Minister. Aslan Musin has been appointed the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Economics and Budgetary Planning.

Victor Hrapunov will head the Emergency Ministry who earlier was akim (mayor) of the East Kazakhstan oblast. Marat Tazhin became the Minister for Foreign Affairs who earlier held the post of the President's envoy - the Secretary of Security Council. Ex-Prime Minister Daniyal Akhmetov has been appointed the Minister of Defense. Galym Orazbakov headed the Ministry of Industry and Commerce; Zhanseyit Tuymebayev headed the Ministry of Education and Science.

Baurzhan Mukhamedzhanov remained in the post of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Minister of Agriculture - Akhmetzhan Yesimov, Minister of Justice - Zagipa Baliyeva. Anatoly Dernovoy has remained in the post of the Minister of Health, Natalia Korzhova - the Minister of Finance, Gulzhan Karagusova - the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Serik Akhmetov - the Minister of Transport and Communications. Nurlan Iskakov, as before, will head the Ministry for Environmental Protection, Yermukhamet Yertysbayev - the Ministry of Culture and Information. Temirkhan Dosmukhanbetov kept the post of the Minister of Tourism and Sports. Bakhtykozha Izmukhambetov will be the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources.

According to the Constitution of Kazakhstan, the Prime Minister is to present the report of the government program to the Parliament within a month after the appointment.
