Kazakhstan Parliament ratified Protocol on introduction of amendments to Shanghai convention on struggle against terrorism

Today at the plenary session the Senate deputies passed the laws on ratification of the Protocol on amendments to the Shanghai convention on struggle against terrorism, separatism and extremism, signed on June 15, 2001 in the city of Shanghai and on ratification of the Protocol on amendments to the agreement between the SCO member states on the regional antiterrorist structure signed on June, 7, 2002 in the city of St. Petersburg, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - Today at the plenary session the Senate deputies passed the laws on ratification of the Protocol on amendments to the Shanghai convention on struggle against terrorism, separatism and extremism, signed on June 15, 2001 in the city of Shanghai and on ratification of the Protocol on amendments to the agreement between the SCO member states on the regional antiterrorist structure signed on June, 7, 2002 in the city of St. Petersburg, the agency reports.

As it was informed earlier, the documents provide dislocation of the regional antiterrorist structure from Bishkek of the Kyrgyzstan Republic to the city of Tashkent of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Protocols were concluded on September 5, 2003 in Tashkent.

The laws have been forwarded to the President.
