Kazakhstan presidency in OSCE to strengthen image of country - Finnish Foreign Minister

Kazakhstan presidency in OSCE will enable to strengthen image of the country for the international community. OSCE Chairman-in-Office, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland Alexander Stubb said today at the briefing, following the results of negotiations with the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, the agency reports.

Astana. July 2. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan presidency in OSCE will enable to strengthen image of the country for the international community. OSCE Chairman-in-Office, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland Alexander Stubb said today at the briefing, following the results of negotiations with the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, the agency reports.

"Presidency of Kazakhstan will enable to strengthen the image of the country for the international community," A. Stubb said.

"I consider that presidency of Kazakhstan in 2010 is a window of opportunities which has historical and symbolical importance. OSCE will become 35 years old and Kazakhstan will be the first Central Asian country that will preside in OSCE," the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland said.

"It will be a new page in history of OSCE and Kazakhstan."

"It is an opportunity for OSCE to show how unique the organization is, uniting 56 states, including Caucasian countries," he emphasized.
