Kazakhstan speaks in supports of increase of number of international observers in zone of conflict in Caucasus - Nazarbayev

Kazakhstan has spoken in support of increase of the number of international observers in the zone of conflict in the Caucasus. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said during III Ministerial meeting of Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICMA) on Monday, the agency reports.

Almaty. August 26. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan has spoken in support of increase of the number of international observers in the zone of conflict in the Caucasus. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said during III Ministerial meeting of Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICMA) on Monday, the agency reports.

"The international community should undertake effective measures to normalize the situation in the Caucasus and to decrease intensity in the region. We support increase of quantity of international observers in the zone of conflict," N. Nazarbayev stated. He noted that Kazakhstan is ready to take part in OSCE efforts on normalization of the situation."

"We support the solution of this problem on the basis of the charter of the United Nations Organization proposed by the Russian leadership," the leader of the state said.

"The last events cause serious concern for the future and security of this region." "Now one of the main tasks is urgent provision of humanitarian aid. Kazakhstan has already rendered material support to the injured population," N. Nazarbayev noted.
