Moldova to present program of its presidency in CIS in 2009

Moldova will present the concept of its presidency program in the CIS countries in 2009 on January, 30th in the headquarters of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Minsk, the agency reports citing the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

Minsk. January 29. Kazakhstan Today - Moldova will present the concept of its presidency program in the CIS countries in 2009 on January, 30th in the headquarters of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Minsk, the agency reports citing the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

According to the press service, since January, 1st 2009, the Republic of Moldova presides in the Council of the Leaders of the States, the Council of Prime Ministers, the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Economic Council, the Council of constant plenipotentiaries of the state-participants of the Commonwealth at the authorized and other bodies of the Commonwealth and the Commission for Economic Affairs at the CIS Economic Council, according to the decision of the Council of Leaders of the States, accepted in Bishkek on October, 10th, 2008.

The National Commission for coordination of presidency of this country in the CIS in 2009 has been formed by the decree of the President of Moldova, Vladimir Voronin. The government has approved the working group on coordination of activity of presidency of the Republic of Moldova in CIS in 2009. The special envoy of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the European Integration of Moldova, Efim Kilar, will head the group.

According to the press service, E. Kilar at the meeting with the management of the CIS Executive Committee, constant plenipotentiaries and ambassadors of the CIS member states, chairmen of the constant commissions of National Assembly and representatives of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Belorussia will talk about priority directions of the activity of Moldova as the country presiding in the CIS and about the specific actions stipulated by the presidency program.
