Almaty. December 10. Kazakhstan Today - The National Qualifications System promotes development of both vertical and horizontal professional mobility of people, Deputy Minister of Education of Kazakhstan Sayat Shayakhmetov said at the opening of the 4th International Forum "Vocational Education and Business: Dialogue of Partners" on December 7.
"The National Qualifications System unites all the existing qualifications of different levels and types. It promotes development of both vertical and horizontal professional mobility of people due to official recognition of qualifications," Shayakhmetov said, according to the Prime Minister's official website.
He also noted that the mechanism of introduction of the NQS allows people to study in convenient for them time lifelong.
The Deputy Minister also informed that the project on modernization of vocational and technical education implemented at the expense of a loan of the World Bank and the EU project on support of the VTE played the key role in the establishment of the NQS.
Experts of these projects have developed the concept of the national qualification system, model and methods of development of the sectoral frameworks of qualifications, methodology and model of development of professional standards as well as professional standards for a number of economic sectors.
