Nazarbayev arrived in Istanbul to participate in 10th summit of Leaders of Turkic Speaking States

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, arrived in Istanbul to participate in the 10th summit of Leaders of Turkic Speaking States, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

Astana. September 16. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, arrived in Istanbul to participate in the 10th summit of Leaders of Turkic Speaking States, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

As informed earlier, the 10th anniversary summit of Leaders of Turkic Speaking States would take place on September 15 -16 in Istanbul with participation of the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev.

"The leaders of the Turkic Speaking countries will discuss a wide spectrum of questions, including the relations between the countries, the regional and international problems representing common interest, and establishment of Secretariat of the Turkic Council and its management. The officials are expected to exchange opinions concerning the work of the Turkic World Academy opened at the initiative of N. Nazarbayev in May, 2010 in Astana during an official visit of the President of Turkey, Abdulla Gul," Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.

"Creation of an advisory body will be on the agenda of the summit - Senior Officials Council, which will function under the aegis of the Turkic Council. The Senior Officials Council structure will include the most respectable representatives of each of the member countries," Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan informed.
