Parliament ratified protocol on amendments to contract on allied relations

The deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session today passed the law on ratification of the protocol on the amendments to the allied relations contract between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan of December 25, 2003, the agency reports.

Astana. February 25. Kazakhstan Today - The deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session today passed the law on ratification of the protocol on the amendments to the allied relations contract between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan of December 25, 2003, the agency reports.

The allied relations contract between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan directed at development of bilateral cooperation on the basis of allied relations, according to the conclusion of the Senate Committee for International Affairs, Defense and Security, was ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan on November 9, 2006. The protocol was signed for further realization of the positions of the contract and gives the parties a possibility to accept the cooperation measures plan for each three-year period.

Earlier, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Nurlan Ermekbaev, informed that "this protocol has been accepted due to the necessity to change the text of the contract."
