Presidents of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan agreed to meet during summit of International Fund of Aral Rescue

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, and the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdymuhammedov, agreed on a personal meeting during the summit of the leaders of the state-participants of the International Fund of Aral Rescue, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

March 31. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, and the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdymuhammedov, agreed on a personal meeting during the summit of the leaders of the state-participants of the International Fund of Aral Rescue, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

"The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, had a telephone conversation with the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdymuhammedov, by the initiative of the Turkmen party," the press service informs.

"During the conversation the heads of two countries agreed on having a personal meeting during the summit of the leaders of the state-participants of the International Fund of Aral Rescue, which will take place in Almaty in the end of April, 2009."

According to the press service, "the leaders of two states discussed bilateral cooperation and realization of the perspective civil-engineering projects of the Near-Caspian gas pipeline and railway Uzen - Gyzylgaya - Bereket - Etrek - Gorgan that will connect the west of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan and with Iran."
