Criminal case brought against the fact of MIG-31 crash

Karaganda. February 28. Kazakhstan Today - The criminal case has been brought against the fact of military plane MIG-31 crash near Karaganda on item 392 of Kazakhstan (infringement of rules of flights or preparation for them, entailing on imprudence death of the people). The military Office of Public Prosecutor of the Karaganda oblast informed the agency.

The investigation will be conducted by military-investigatory department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The investigatory brigade will work in parallel with the interdepartmental commission that includes the Kazakhstan and the Russian experts from Moscow and Nizhni Novgorod.

"At present it is not the matter of the guilt of a particular person, investigation is being carried out with the view of all-round and objective research," the military Office of Public Prosecutor explained.

As it was informed earlier, the emergency occurred 5 - 6 km off the northwest from the airport of Karaganda on Friday at 21.22 p.m. during training flight.

Karaganda plane Mig-31 belonged to the military unit 50185 of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic crashed; two pilots died, the agency reports referring to the Emergency Ministry press service.
