Earthquake struck south of Kazakhstan

Astana. May 28. Kazakhstan Today - The earthquake struck the south of Kazakhstan that was felt in Kyrgyzstan, the Emergency Ministry press service informed on Monday.

The earthquake that measured 11.8 occurred on May 27 at 7.31a.m. on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. The epicentre was in 363 km off the southwest from Almaty. "Tremors were felt in Taraz measuring 2 - 3, in the settlement Merke of Zhambyl oblast - 3," the press service informed.

According to the Emergency Ministry, there are no victims and destructions.
