In Kazakhstan, prices for kindergarten services rose by 20% over the year

The highest prices for preschool education in Astana and Almaty.
In April, every visit to a children's preschool center cost the parents of kids in 817 tenge on average in the Republic of Kazakhstan - by 4.9% more than a year earlier, ranking.kz reports.

The highest prices were observed in Astana and Almaty, where the prices reached 1862 tenge (+ 7.6% per year) and 1666 tenge (sharply + 14.6% per year) per visit, respectively.

Most of all, among the residents of large cities and megacities of Kazakhstan a rise in prices were experienced by parents in Shymkent, where kindergartens and centres for preschool children raised prices by 19.2% per year, to 1023 tenge per visit.

As a whole, last year, the volume of services rendered to Kazakhstan citizens in the field of preschool education and training of kindergartens and other pre-school organizations reached 244.2 billion tenge, which is 13.2% more than a year ago.

The largest volume of services fell on the densely populated South Kazakhstan region - 22.5% of Kazakhstan, and Almaty - 11.1% of Kazakhstan.

It is noteworthy that at the expense of the budget 75.7% of services in the sector were paid, compared to 76.3% a year earlier.

The share of services that had to be paid to the population increased from 23.5% in 2016 to 24.1% in 2017.
