Astana. January 18. Kazakhstan Today - Investment volume in subsoil use in Kazakhstan in 2006 increased by 17.5 % and totaled $14.8 billion, the agency reports referring to the Energy and Mineral Resources press service.
"Volume of investments for 2006 increased in comparison with 2005 by 17.5 % and totaled $14.8 billion compared to $12.6 billion in 2005," the press release widespread today by MEMR press service states.
According to the department, the share of foreign investments remained in the volume of 80 %. 83 % have been directed on minerals extraction off the total amount of investments in subsoil use. "The priority direction of investment are the objects of hydrocarbonic raw materials, the share of which is 80 % off the total amount of investments," the document states.
