Kazakhstan delegation took part in international forum on human trafficking

Kazakhstan delegation took part in the international forum on struggle against human trafficking taken place in Vienna, on February 12-14, the agency report referring to the press service of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

Astana. February 15. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan delegation took part in the international forum on struggle against human trafficking taken place in Vienna, on February 12-14, the agency report referring to the press service of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

According to the press service, within the limits of the Vienna events, the deputy Mukhtar Tinikeev, the head of the delegation of Kazakhstan, met OSCE special representative for struggle against human trafficking Eva Biadet. During the meeting the parties discussed the questions of bilateral and multilateral cooperation and legislative activity of the Parliament of Kazakhstan on struggle against human trafficking.

According to the press service, the OSCE representative highly assessed the Kazakhstan social and economic and humanitarian policy. "The forthcoming presidency of Kazakhstan in OSCE will promote resolution of priority and urgent problems of the region."

The forum under the aegis of the United Nations within the limits of global campaign on counteraction to human trafficking was organized with assistance of the Austrian deputies and the authoritative international organizations, such as UNDP, the Department of High Commissioner for Human Rights, UNIFEM, International Labor Organization, International Migration Organization, IMF, World Bank, OSCE, the United Nations Department for Drugs and Criminality, UNICEF.
