It is planned to establish family courts based on juvenile courts in Kazakhstan. It was informed by judge Gulnar Abdigaliyeva at a seminar meeting 'The organization of the activities to de-radicalize and rehabilitate under-aged persons from the families returned from zones of terrorist activities. The development of socio-psychological legal support centers for underaged persons.'

As of today, the family courts project is being developed.

As of today, the Supreme Court and Chairman Zhakip Assanov have explored the possibility to establish family courts based on juvenile courts. This is a combination of family courts, that is the handling of divorce proceedings, including juvenile courts," said Gulnar Abdigaliyeva.

She noted that the court would deal with interests of the entire family, attracting psychologists and social workers.

In this sphere, it is necessary to attract psychologists, social workers, as well as the way the child behaves in this environment. Therefore, boundaries of work of juvenile courts are being expanded, and we have a project to establish family courts in the near future, that will deal with interests of the entire family," said Abdigaloyeva.

The judge underlined that such a project operates on the base of the Almaty District Court.
